Shining in the rain
A typical street lamp found in sake houses area. This one is unlucky to be attached on a messy electrical pole.

A glimpse of Saijo. Saijo is a small town in Higashi Hiroshima, Hiroshima Prefecture. I'm going to tell some random little things through photos about this town, who knows, you'll come here someday.

I like the lamp post ! Rainy day here grey sky and a little sun but no rain ;)
Sorry to hear it's raining there. We had the hottest day this year and tomorrow temperature will raise to 34ºC. (beaches were crowded).
That's a cool lamp post Henny! And the fact that it's typical makes it even better. It's raining here too...boo :P
I feel so lucky. Here I am warm and dry in my room looking out at the rain in Saijo and I can gaze at those people, one walking briskly and another weaving unsteady on his bicycle, both under a sheltering umbrella, and I can relax as long as I want, enjoying this scene without worrying at all about rushing off to be on time somewhere.
I’m wondering about that green hill in the distance. Do you live close to the countryside, Henny? Or is that like a shrine or an isolated patch of greenery? The world’s largest stalk of broccoli?
Lamp post is lovely! It's raining cats and dogs here at the moment:(
Have a nice day despite the weather!
Love the lamp post even with the mess of wirings.
After a few days with a mix of thunderstorms, high winds and low temperatures, the weather changed to high blue sky today.
Have a great weekend.
That overwired pole looks familiar, japanese characters apart. The lamp is really beautiful, sorry for the weatherer. Here the sun shines...
@ Babzy, show us your :)
@ JM, 34 is just perfect, no wonder your recent post is so beach:)
@ Kaori, isn't Tokorazawa only a mile away from Saijo?
@ Gary, in fact the largest stalk of broccoli is right next to my house. They dig it today :). The green hill in the distance is just a hill. I'm looking forward to explore it when I get time for that.
@ Joo, same here, you too, have a nice weekend:)
@ Christopher and VP, nice to know wetahers are good there. Happy weekend.
Nice looking lamps. That's a good neighborhood you have there.
