A room with a view

As a leading sake town, it's easily to see chimneys like this. It is a symbol of a sake house.
This photo was taken from my window apaato.
Hiro San : Kanpai!
Yuri San : Kanpai!
* Kanpai = A toast, the Japanese equivalent for 'Cheers!' (Sometimes spelled incorrectly as kampai, due to the difficulty some people have with pronouncing the 'n' sound next to a hard consonant.) From the Anime Encyclopedia.

I like the Anime Encyclopedia as source... Could you tell us something more about the wonderful blue roof tiles?

I'm sad to say I've managed to get this far in life without reading The Adventures of TinTin. I guess I'd better do something about that ( :

Kanpai to you! Great shot and nice to know what your view is. Also, I am glad you enjoyed the kachina on my website. i bet you had a great time at the American Indian Museum in D.C. They would have lots of fabulous kachinas. And yes, it would be interesting to see some Japanese dolls.

@ Julie, spending a month only for Smithsonian Institute wasn't enough...
@ Brattcat, I collect the movies :)
@ Vogon Poet and Babzy, I will upload the photo someday (tomorrow if possible). It's a roof of a Japanese Syle house, quite unusual. I am wondering about it, too, but don't know the owner. The gate is beautiful...

Thanks all for dropping by, you don't know how much I appreciate your visit and time seeing my post. I'll do my best in the next posts and hope it will benefit us all.

Hi Henny! Japanese food is finally fashion in Lisbon. But more with beer, Sapporo and Asahi than sake. Kanpai, anyhow!!! ;)

India 2008 has come to an end at Blogtrotter, but there is a lot to see there, still in the BRIC countries… ;). Enjoy and have a great week!
