A Someone's House

Having a house  in a middle of paddy field and with a small garden where you can pick your daily vegetables is like a dream :). However, sometimes, seeing it makes me homesick.

Like you say, Henny, it looks like a dream house. The gardener must be kept quite busy.

{The hedge looks like it is photinia}

On the beautiful roof--are those solar panels or for heating water?
Great house.

The red hedge is gorgeous and your excellent images describe it so well. I'd like a house like this, is it an expensive one or is simply well kept?

Thank you everybody :)
@ Joo, let's take Gary's answer, it's photinia
@ Dina, it's used for heating water
@ Vogon, it's rare now people build house like this one. This is quite old and located in the suburb area. It must be expensive, considering the interior of even a traditional house is modern.

Konnichiwa! I love these house pictures. They remind me of living and teaching English in Gero-Onsen, Gifu-ken as a Mombusho teacher. Genki de ne! EAGAN daily photo in Minnesota, USA
