Which Platform?

To go to Saijo from Hiroshima Station, take the Sanyo-Line train at platform 5. Please get in the line, don't rush, it has 8 cars and thank God, it's rapid service. Do you think the information is clear enough?

Sure, no problem. I was a little freaked out when I saw that, though it is indeed “Rapid Service,” the train to Itozaki stops at every station from Hachihonmatsu; but no problem (again); that’s just one station before Saijo. What a relief!

If you were giving directions to friends maybe you could tell them how many stations total from Hiroshima to Saijo. Or some kind of landmark they could recognize that would enable them to get off at the right place. But, yes, I think your “getting on” directions are fine. Platform 5; Sanyo-Line; 8 car; to Itozaki; off one station past Hachihonmatsu; Saijo; exit? South exit? Only one exit? Main exit through building? You will be holding a yellow flag?

May be we'll be able to get around...

I'm fully dependent on my cellphone when it comes to which train to get on ;)

I now develop some guts to ask the machinist, hahhah...As long as they mention "Saijo Komen" or something like that, no need to worry. Oh and for Saijo, "Hidari gawa desu", doors on the left :). Thank you, People.

Probably 'Saijo Homen' which means 'towards Saijo' ;D

Kaori, it's like when I heard 'mikami' instead of 'futari' from a song :)).

Gary, I'll remember that. Yellow flag plus cute hat. The only landmark I know as the sign is Takaki Bakery Factory. Sometimes I think I could smell its fresh bread on the train :). Btw, how tall are you, Gary?

And my mistake again, "Migi gawa desu", right doors, Ladies and Gentlemen.
